What you'll be doing

  • Developing an ecosystem
    Be a part of the team that develop our software products C2MS and AuthStack.

  • Scaling PoCs to Production
    You'll be actively involved in transforming code from PoCs to production-ready services in a continuous delivery process across our various platforms.

  • Building Tools and Engines
    Understanding business requirements and transforming them into abstract configurable engines without hard-coding to enable no-code & low-code configuration.

  • API Design and Implementation
    Building scalable and fault-tolerant APIs which are consumed by internal teams and third parties via OpenAPI and GraphQL.

  • Scalable Fault-Tolerant Platforms
    Building services that can support billions of transactions and messages while maintaining a low footprint.

  • Working with the FinTech and InsurTech Industries
    Working with bleeding-edge technology on exciting digital transformation projects with the FinTech/InsurTech space.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Laravel PHP
    Laravel PHP Framework experience (or equivalent). Go, C# and Python are also beneficial, but not a requirement.

  • Databases
    Relational databases, query optimisation, ORMs and data modelling.

  • Professional Experience
    Experience working within the area of insurance, finance or payment systems is a bonus.

  • Agile Experience
    An understanding and experience with working in Agile, preferably with JIRA, Confluence and Git.

  • Containerization
    Comfortable with applications based on mini and micro-service architecture (Docker, ContainerD, Kubernetes).

  • Serverless Processing
    An understanding of serverless frameworks, queueing and asynchronous processing is beneficial.

  • Building and maintaining an ecosystem
    Willing to work on long-term projects and help build and improve a core ecosystem, rather than short-term agency work.

  • Language Skills
    Comfortable working and programming in English.

  • Learning
    Willing to learn and improve on a daily basis and maintain intellectual curiosity.

  • Specific experience and qualifications will depend on the level you're applying for.

    Developed an abstract underwriting and pricing engine that so far, has been able to automate the calculation of premiums for any type of insurance product, regardless of complexity

    First to market with real-time pricing for certain lines of insurance products

  • A world first with Lloyd's Lineage

    First software vendor to integrate fully with Lloyd's Lineage in Canada, enabling real-time transaction processing for the full policy lifecycle
