Buckhill is pleased to announce a new partnership with Chimnie, the UK’s Property Data Bureau. Chimnie aggregates and enhances property data from both public and commercial sources, making it available through a powerful API and wholesale model. This integration enables Buckhill clients to access enriched datasets that support more accurate underwriting, pricing, and lead generation within our C2MS platform.
By connecting to Chimnie’s data services, Buckhill clients can automate the collection of critical property information, including flood risk and other perils, reducing reliance on manual data entry and intervention during the quote process. This streamlining not only improves efficiency but also increases the accuracy of pricing models, helping carriers and MGAs make better-informed decisions in real time.
Beyond underwriting accuracy, the Chimnie API provides clients with flexible access to granular datasets that can be tailored to specific use cases. Whether supporting automated pre-fill for quotes, enriching submissions, or enhancing portfolio-level analysis; carriers and MGAs can choose only the datasets they need, keeping costs efficient while maximising value. This flexibility ensures that property data becomes an enabler of smarter decision-making across both day-to-day underwriting and long-term strategic planning.
Chimnie’s recently launched wholesale arrangement enables Buckhill to resell data services directly to clients, opening new opportunities for value creation across joint projects. For partners involved in delegated authority or retail distribution, this creates opportunities to integrate property intelligence more deeply into lead generation, submission handling, and policy workflows.
With API-driven delivery, Chimnie aligns with Buckhill’s open ecosystem approach; making it easier for partners to plug into enriched data sources without custom integrations or disruptive processes.
As we expand our partnership, Buckhill and Chimnie will continue exploring how property data can power automation across underwriting, quoting, and portfolio management. With Chimnie’s API-driven infrastructure and Buckhill’s flexible C2MS platform, carriers gain seamless access to property intelligence; reducing friction, improving accuracy, and enabling smarter, data-first insurance processes.
Together, we are bringing property data closer to the heart of insurance operations, helping our clients move faster, quote smarter, and operate with greater confidence in the risks they underwrite.
